It’s the only way to start 2012 for love fever, as they build up-to their label launch party and erotic art exhibition in march, Love Fever seek to push the boundaries well beyond a bland guest DJ on a flyer.

2011 saw Alex & Andy push the boundaries of their infamous discotheque deeper into the abyss with sleazy valentines day warehouses, chic photographic studios for what RA claimed was the party of the year back in july, an over the top house party saying farewell to that naughty kingsland road den, cheeky ibiza jaunts, a weekend in berlin that defies description… and most recently settling their brand of erotic house and disco into their very own private space in hackney wick for a new era in london club romanticism.

2012 NYD at the nest is set to be the perfect remedy for the crudeness of the night before or for carrying on the decadence. The nest provides some creature comforts that a warehouse cant provide that we think New Years Day raving requires, (lets face it nobody wants flooded toilets and warm booze on NYD) right in the heart of Dalston and open for 12 hours of fun and frivolity. The sound system will be tweaked, balloons hung, love heart lofted and the boys have yet again pulled it out of the bag with Jimmy Edgar, FCL and expect some very special guest in keeping with the pedigree of last year!

Red lights, deep and soft with feelings of inhibition lost spread throughout the club, what an incredible time we had under the balloons and love heart last time round. So many smiling faces, glamourous girls, beautiful boys and naughty but nice dancers doing as they pleased till the wee hours in a very private space.

A stunning two room photographic studio with brick walls, a mezzanine overlooking the dance-floor, massive white curves, secret areas and a seedy little outside area too. 

The Balloons were blown, the disco ball was hung, the love heart illuminated & the last time round the sofas literally wheeled down the Kingsland road for what we like to think is the best little party in London town. 

Alex & Andy trawl the streets of London to find the ideal setting for their sleaze fuelled discotheques and anyone who was at the the last instalment will know the current site is something out of the norm. 

The boys will be improving things further, tweaking the sound, expanding the bar and adding further wow to the space as they seek the perfect ambience to create that sultry Love Fever experience. 

Love Fever is about the party itself and the music and whoever is playing it is just part of that experience.  A&A proved with their Halloween Dream and Valentines Delight parties special guests are but a distraction!  

Sophisticated dancing and hard mincing are the order of the day round these parts.

Every so often a party comes along that evokes more emotion, feel, excitement and joy than your average. A sense of unity, hedonism and abandonment that's talked about for weeks after and wait in anticipation for the next. Love Fever shows Alex & Andy's unyielding and uncompromising approach to music and their discothèque coming to fruition bringing together one of the most varied and lustful crowds in London.

For April 2nd they are preparing a production that is their most audacious and inventive yet...

THE SPACE... A SECRET

But quite simply the most hi spec and beautiful event space in East London. Never used before for a disco, this photography studio and art gallery houses 400 people, an outside area and with a stunning balcony area providing sanctuary from the intensity of Love fevers infamous dance-floor below.

This will be special. Let your expectations soar!

This is no car-park with porta-loos or an uninviting warehouse with shit sound, girls we even have a plethora of toilets for you to hang out in!

THE GUEST... DJ SPRINKLES

In the modern world of much hyped, flash in the pan, blog fuelled phoneys, Terre Thaemlitz aka DJ Sprinkles is one who can truly stand amongst the greats in electronic music, all the time doing it unashamedly his/her way.

More than just one of the finest deep house producers and DJs on the planet (winning critical acclaim and RA album of the year for 2009s 'Midtown 120 Blues') Sprinkles unique voice combines themes including gender, sexuality, class, ethnicity and race - with his wide range of production styles ranging from electro-acoustic computer music, club-oriented deep house, digital jazz, ambient, and computer-composed neo-expressionist piano solos! (we didn't come up with that)

In the physical she takes many forms and performs in a miriad of ways. This time joining a&a behind the decks all the way from his adopted home Japan, the native New Yorker will be bringing to Love Fever an exclusive DJ Sprinkles set in anticipation of her upcoming LP "DJ Sprinkles Presents K.S.H.E". For the first time in london since rocking the barbican foyer alongside carl craig 2 years ago.

The space is straight up Dalston chic, a studio with a capacity of 300 with no entry after 12, this isn't masquerading as a secret party like so many, its the real thing.... inhibitions and cameras left at the door which once shut we can do as we please until 5am.

Love Fever have enlisted the services of a house icon, a true legend of dance music to grace the decks for a December party to remember.

Larry Heard aka Mr Fingers has defined the underground nightlife of a generation, from the classic "can you feel it" to his emotive musings of "what about this love" and contemporary classics like "the sun cant compare" Larry is one of the few electronic musicians who can truly be called a genius. This is a rare opportunity to see the Chicago native outside of the horrid super clubs.

As always the boys have found a location worthy of the event it holds and of the people that attend and will be doing everything possible to bring that special blend of sleaze and drama that Love Fever is now renowned.

Thank you to all of those of you who attended the unforgettable Love Fever Studio party last month. Full to capacity with a queue round the block by 11.30pm, a mad dash to get the balloons blown, the system tuned and the neon heart hung up, it all came together for what was one of the parties of the year.

Somewhere along the Kingsland Road resides a breathtaking art gallery space and studio that has long been the backdrop for many a fashion shoot and art exibition, never a club night.

Stark white walls with skylights to the stars, laneway out the back, a completely raw space wit a perfect capacity of 250-300 over 2 rooms of discotheque-ing drama.

On seeing the space (last Tuesday!), Alex and Andy decided there was only one thing to be done. Lock down the venue, call up Wolf + Lamb and Jacques Renault, order a giant neon love heart, bespoke state of the art sound, disco balls, balloons, lighting, bean bags and throw their biggest night to date!

We'll be hosting the upstairs room of the fantastic hybrid life party this Saturday night at a 600 capacity space in the heart of Shoreditch.… with Theo Parrish djing downstairs 12-3am and a 6am finish all we currently know is that it's going to be big.

We'll be getting into the space later this week and working our magic with a bespoke sound system, disco ball, balloons, projections and a selection of fantastily debauched black and white photographs on the walls taken at Studio 54 by photographer Allan Tannenbaum.

On a random night out a few months ago we stumbled on a very special space in the heart of East London and since then we've been on a full on charm offensive to try and persuade them to let us do a Love Fever party there.

Join those naughty Love Fever boys for what could be their most outrageous party yet. New York disco legend Nicky Siano will be playing a “Gallery” style session all night in room one, whilst in room two the future of disco will be represented by Mark Seven from Sweden alongside those hardy Love Fever DJs.

After a series of parties over Summer in Shoreditch warehouses this time they've gone legit with Corsica Studios just south of the river (gasp) the perfect ripe canvas for a Love Fever makeover. Think disco balls, balloons, roller girls, projections, artworks and sound system fine tuning - for the geeks their first party featured a 1973 Bozak mixer as used in the Paradise Garage - and for the last a Urei 1620, white shure cartridges & a 5k F1 rig.

In the early 70s NYC, at a precocious age of 17, Nicky Siano opened the Gallery Club in New York. Alongside The Loft and the Paradise Garage, the Gallery was one of New York's most famous underground disco clubs. Nicky inspired and launched the careers of, Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles with Grace Jones and Loleatta Holloway both making their debut appearances at his legendary nightspot. Not content with running his own club Nicky also guested at several others, including the infamous Studio 54, and was actually the DJ as Bianca Jagger rode across the dance floor on her white horse!

Room two will be hosted by Love Fever's East End boys Andy Bird & Alex Bradley. And, with Nicky Siano in full swing for his Gallery session, in room two we'll be doing our Love Fever thing with Mark Seven from Sweden. Fresh from guest appearances at All Ends Up, Bad Passion and the inimitable Horse Meat Disco, this Berkshire raised, Sweden residing DJ, promoter, record shop owner and crate digging disco connoisseur. Consistently blown away by Mark's mixes, he's an artist who's right down our street.

Expect a night of disco fuelled Love Fever debauchery & drama.

"Larry and I would blow up balloons, set up the food bar, prepare the punch, and give out acid, but we also spent a lot of time in the DJ booth, watching Nicky's every move. He pretty much taught us what he was doing". says Frankie Knuckles

It's a great space that's recently housed parties with Dixon, Henrik Schwarz and Prins Thomas amongst others as well as the near legendary Low Life parties. A fantastic 2 roomed venue (plus garden) with a slamming Funktion One system which will be subject to the full Love Fever makeover.

In one of several stories recounted in Tim Lawrence's fantastic book, one night when Nicky's Gallery club was shut down on fire regulation grounds by New York Police he grabbed a box of acid laced strawberries on his way out, put it on a police car in the street and his Gallery regulars, who had been turfed out, helped themselves. At a suitable time later Nicky sneaked back upstairs into the venue, opened all the windows, and blasted out his favourite track!!

Supplying lashings of underground disco music new and old in this private loft space in the heart of Shoreditch are DJs Andy Bird, Alex Bradley, Farah Force DJ, Andy Blake (Dissident Records) are all joined by special guest from Paris, Blackjoy.

And because it's a Friday night we've pushed the times forward a little bit and we're getting going at 8pm with a BBQ on the new terrace (shuts 10pm) and some music to get the groove going. Doing these Love Fever parties it's all about bringing some attention to detail, excitement and fun into London night life more than whatsoever guest we've got flying in. That said, the music should be sounding pretty good on the Funktion One system we've hired in for the night.

Last time round was a mad dash to get the space right, the sound right, the disco ball hung up, etc, and it was too HOT for some people so this time round we're getting some big industrial fans in, setting up a second bottles bar, and having a BBQ from 8pm till 10pm and strictly limiting the numbers to 200. The building's getting torn down next month so this will be our LAST loft party here and we hope you can join us for a night of elegant debauchery and disco tomfoolery!

As for our special guest DJ Blackjoy you only have to look at his fantastic limited edition "Edits Vol 1" sold in Paris' super cool Collete boutique to see the varied selection of music that infiltrates his dj sets. From Queen to Paul Simon to Change to Collage with some unknown french disco, deep boogie and futuristic dance thrown into the mix, we can't wait.

This party is happening in a unique (and top secret until the day) loft space in the heart of Shoreditch & this one we hope is going to be something that little bit special - with our own sound system brought in (geek spec on request), bespoke invitations & tickets, rollergirl, balloons, artwork, lighting & decor a rum punch, talcum powder on the floor for you dancers and there's also a terrace for you smokers.

The loft space we've found is in the centre of London's Shoreditch. The full venue details we're keeping a secret to the day before (ticket holders will be emailed) but it's under a 5 minute walk from Old Street tube station, and we hope a night of disco fuelled debauchery shall entail.
